Broken chisels

I'm a hobbyist woodworker, DIYer, and photographer based out of my garage. I got into woodworking after building a badly jointed bookshelf that I refused to accept as a final answer — eight years later I'm still at it, still making mistakes, and still learning something new every time I pick up a hand plane.

The camera came along as a way to document builds in progress. It turns out photographing wood grain and tool marks is its own kind of obsession. This site is where the two hobbies meet: a place to share what I'm making, how I'm making it, and what the shop actually looks like day-to-day.

Everything here is a hobby — I'm not a professional, and I think that's kind of the point.
